Cilantro (Coriander)
Coriandrum sativum

A widely popular culinary herb, cilantro is used by herbalists to detoxify the body. Coriander seeds come from the cilantro plant and are used as a carminative and digestive aid. An infusion of the herb is a gentle remedy for flatulence bloating and cramps. It settles spasms within the gut and counters the effect of nervous tension. Coriander seed has been used as an expectorant to treat coughs and bronchitis and in Middle Eastern medicine it is taken to calm anxiety and sleep. Coriander is also chewed to sweeten the breath, especially after eating garlic. Consuming fresh cilantro helps mobilize heavy metal including mercury, cadmium, lead and aluminum from bones, teeth, central nervous system and other body tissues. To avoid retoxification from heavy metals that are freed to the bodily tissues, blood or lymph, combine cilantro tincture with dandelion of red clover tincture (50:50), which helps dispel these toxins through the urine
