Black walnut
Juglans nigra
Black walnut hulls are a locally acting antifungal and antimicrobial, excellent for gut infections, gastric candida overgrowth, and general dysbiosis. It is a traditional remedy for hypothyroidism, probably acting on autoimmunity through gut bacteria regulation. Black walnut leaf is less antimicrobial and more astringent and carminative than the hulls.
